Shipping Rates and Policies

All Orders are shipped within 24 to 48 hours of receipt. Items ordered on Friday through Sunday may not be shipped out until Monday, or Tuesday if drop shipped by the manufacturer, due to the fact that UPS and other shippers do not ship on weekends or on holidays. Personalized items will usually take longer, depending on the supplier's timetable.   Occasionally, items rop shipped by manufacturers or items on order may take an extra day or so.  Please be aware that prevailing weather and resulting conditions may affect all shippers, so if there are storms or floods, please be patient.  

NOTE: Occasionally we have problems with duplicate shipping costs being charged. We are working with out webhost on trying to solve this problem, and we usually do catch and refund overcharges. If you run into this problem, please feel free to call us or email us at DiscountDogStuff@msn.com and we can process your order manually and invoice you through PayPal. That being said, many larger products are drop-shipped directly from the manufacturers, so there may in fact be actual separate shipping charges for larger or heavier products that will necessarily be shipped separately. Due to recent UPS price increases, we are trying to send as many products as practical by the US Post Office, which tends to be a lot more reasonable at this point, but due to size, weight or other considerations, some products just have to go by UPS.  

PLEASE NOTE: IF WE CAN SHIP AN ITEM FOR LESS THAN APPEARS ON OUR ORDER FORM, WE WILL DO SO, AND WE WILL REFUND ANY OVERCHARGES FOR SHIPPING.

 

 

Some products that require special fabrics or embroidery or hand-painting are shipped directly from the manufacturer and may take up to a week to 10 days to be shipped out. We usually ship heavier items by UPS ground or Parcel Post. Most of the heavier items on the website have weights listed. Lighter items can be estimated in most cases. Some smaller, lighter items can or may be shipped by US Priority Mail. 

NOTE: We deal with numerous suppliers and manufacturers, some of whom drop ship their products for us. Other items are shipped from our own warehouse. So portions of your order may be shipped from different places and may arrive in separate packages on different days. Occasionally, this may result in separate UPS shipping from different areas. During holiday seasons, shippers experience unusually high volume and shipping will probably take longer.  

When you check on your order status, if it says “In Progress”, this means we are in the process of shipping it out to you. If it says “Complete”, this means that all of your items have been shipped out to you and you should be receiving them within a few days. We try to keep this updated but if you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 1-888-364-7060.

Keep in mind that UPS rounds up to the nearest pound so 4oz or 15oz cost the same to ship (billed at one pound) and 16oz to 31oz would also cost the same (billed as 2 lbs). If there are any heavier items on the web site that do not list weights, please email us and we will add the weights to the web site. You should also note that some items that are very large but light are charged a dimensional weight by UPS (such as scoopers). We have tried to note this on our website on the affected products. Some heavier or bulkier products may be shipped via USPS Parcel Post, which can be less expensive than UPS. We do our best to ship in the fastest, least expensive way wherever possible. Some products, such as collars, leads and harnesses, may have a flat shipping and handling fee per address, regardless of the number ordered, and are usually shipped via US Postal Service.  

Because they are sent via regular mail, some Elmo's Closet or Lupine orders cannot be tracked; however, if you do not receive the product within 7 business days, please let us know so we can monitor the situation.

Books can be sent USPS Media Mail but are sent with insurance and proof of delivery.  

Please Note: It is our policy to ship UPS items with tracking numbers to confirm receipt by our customers. On certain small, very light items, shipping would be less if shipped First Class Mail however there is no tracking number for these packages. Some of our customers prefer this method of shipping on certain packages and we are happy to oblige, however we assume no responsibility for claims by customers for non- receipt of product.  Having said that, we have not had an instance where a customer claimed they did not receive the item thus far. In the event an item is on back-order, we will notify you by e-mail or telephone right away to tell you when the item is expected in and can be shipped, and make sure the delay is acceptable to you. Please let us know if you have any additional questions about shipping.  

If you live in Alaska or Hawaii, we can send many products to you via Priority Mail which will save on UPS charges. If you want to order from us and live in Alaska or Hawaii, please email us and we will do our best to help you with this. DiscountDogStuff@Yahoo.com.

Frontline Plus is always sent by USPS Priority Mail, since it is the fastest way to get it to you (2-3 days), as well as the least expensive. UPS does not work on weekends or holidays, so the USPS is definitely faster for items such as Frontline Plus.

Exchanges, Returns and Refund Policy

We proudly stand behind all of our products and want you to be 100% satisfied.  You can return any product purchased from us (except custom made items) within thirty (30) days of the order date if there is a problem with the order for an exchange, or if not possible, a credit or refund.  In order to make the return process as smooth as possible, please read the following procedure carefully:

1. You should email us at  ...@DiscountDogStuff.com , or call us at (888) 364-7060 and request a return code. Please provide an explanation on why the product needs to be returned. Used items and items that are missing original tags cannot be refunded. Items where a different size is needed will be exchanged for the correct size. Again, custom items cannot be refunded.

2. Return items using the address on the packing slip. If you no longer have the packing slip, please write your name, order number, address, return code and contact information on another piece of paper and attach it to the box. Anything you return should be either unopened, or in otherwise new condition. Please include any tags or packaging that the product came with, in good condition. Damaged items will not be refunded or will only be refunded in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty.

3. We will contact you with details of your refund, once we receive and process the returned item. Please note that we refund shipping costs only if the return is the result of our error, and the entire order is returned. DiscountDogStuff.com will only process returns and refunds for items purchased from DiscountDogStuff.com. If the manufacturer charges a restocking fee and/or a cleaning fee, that will be deducted from the amount refunded.

4. We cannot accept returns on items that have been used. Electronic collars and systems may not be returnable, depending on manufacturers' policies, unless there is a manufacturers' defect, in which case, an exchange will be done. There may be restocking and/or cleaning fees charged on returns and cancelled orders.
